I started planning large-scale youth group trips at 17, as a way to give back to my Scout troop after earning the rank of Eagle Scout. I credit my passion for travel to the incredible trips I was fortunate to experience as a youth in the program — and I wanted to create those same opportunities for others. During one trip to New York City, a participant said, “Peter, you should be a tour guide!” So I took his advice. I made the leap to a new industry, and since joining the world of travel, I haven’t looked back.

After my father passed, I felt motivated to help my mother travel more. She had never left the country and would never have booked a trip on her own — but she had always wanted to see more of the world. So I told her we were going to New Zealand, and I enjoyed making the entire experience effortless for her.

Helping others do, see, and experience more is incredibly fulfilling to me. Today, my mission is to do that for you. Whether it’s a quick weekend getaway or a bucket-list journey across the globe, my hope is that Confident Travel helps you feel confident — both in your travel plans, and in yourself.
